Pastor's Letter June 2011


Dear Friends

Our vision statement talks about people of all ages finding hope, coming to faith and growing in relationship with God. This is God’s desire for all people, for you and I who already have a relationship with Him, and also for the many more people who live without God in their lives.

Liberty Church is on a journey with God. Over the last months we have seen changes to our location as we have moved to Queen Anne and even moved location within Queen Anne. I believe these physical changes have also brought about a change in our thinking and attitude towards our church. There is a renewed confidence hope and expectation in God’s plans for us as a church. I believe that the changes we have seen in location form the start of something much bigger for Liberty Church as we see our own lives grow in faith and commitment and see others come to know him and find their home in Liberty Church.

In the middle of Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus we read: “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…” These powerful words remind us again that we are never on our own, that God is with us, that it is him who changes lives, him who heals, restores, saves, transforms. It is in his power that we go forward.

Let me encourage you as we look forward to lift your eyes again to him, to trust in his amazing love and immeasurable power and to expect great things from him. The verse in Ephesians continues “..to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” We have an exciting journey ahead of us as we bring glory to our God together
