Jon's Pastor's Letter - June 2016

 Dear Friends

This is a very exciting letter pastor’s letter to write!  After a very long time of waiting we can finally say that we will have a new home for the Liberty family.  We have the small matter of putting in some extra parking spaces, and having done that we will have our official “change of use” to turn the old Dunfermline Press building into our very own “Liberty Centre”.  I don’t think it has quite sunk in yet.  Fiona and I attended the meeting last Monday where the review body discussed our appeal and it was a little nerve wracking, to say the least.  The more the meeting went on the more it looked like we were going to be successful and the tighter my grip got on Fiona’s hand (apparently)!!  When it was finally passed we left the meeting and walked outside in silence.  I don’t think we could take it in. This was real.  All the things we have talked about, the opportunities for outreach and life transformation, the things we have seen and imagined, the people gathering together to worship God, the life and hope and freedom. All of these are now possible.  We have always said as we pursued this building that we would simply keep pushing the doors and as long they opened we would walk through them.  We have just walked through a very big door!  We believe that God has given us a very clear sign that this is our new home, but more exciting than the new home are the plans that God has for building his people.

We believe that our influence and impact on our community will grow.  We look forward to reaching out to those around us with the Good News of Jesus Christ, through a growing number of different ministries, bringing freedom from debt, poverty, addiction, sickness, isolation, shame, fear and conflict.  As we heard during our recent visit to Causeway Coast Vineyard, we have the opportunity to re-write the story of people’s lives.

In some ways it seems like this has been a long journey, but in many ways it is just the beginning.  In the words of a recent worship song “Greater things have yet to come and greater things are still to be done in this city”. All praise to our incredible God for his provision and his continuing presence with us.

Much love and joyful blessing

Jon

I read the latest later of Jon's Pastor's Letter which is quite good for me. I get it from www.essayontime.co.uk and I think you need to write more about it. You deserve more and more.

Your letters motivate me a lot and I read it just because of you. I see it on https://www.levelbee.com/best-camping-air-mattress-for-couples/ and I hope you also did more work.
