Street Pastors

Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to listen, care and help.  Since their launch in London in January 2003, there have been some remarkable results, including drops in crime in areas where teams have been working.  There are now over 100 teams around the United Kingdom.  Each city project is set up by Ascension Trust and run by a local coordinator with support from Ascension Trust and local churches and community groups, in partnership with Police, Council and other statutory agencies.

The Dunfermline
Street Pastors come from several local churches and began in December 2009, walking the streets of the city centre from 10.00pm - 3.00am each Saturday night.  Since November 2010 they also have a team available on the last Friday of each month.

The Dunfermline Street Pastors are co-ordinated by Moss Barclay (01383) 623018
