Letter from Jon, January 2019

 Dear Liberty Family

Happy New Year!  I hope that you have all managed to enjoy some rest and restoration over this Christmas period and I pray that 2019 will be a year of great blessing for you and those you love.

If you are like me, it always takes a little while to get used to a new year.  You’ve spent a whole year getting used to 2018, and suddenly it all changes.  Last year, as a church, our focus was on “Pressing In” to our new home and into the presence of God.  Although we didn’t quite complete our first phase of Liberty Centre, we certainly did some significant “pressing in”.  I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all those who have helped in any way in building our new home, especially to the small team of guys (Doug, Rowland, Brian and Richard) who have put in so much time over these last months.

2019 is a landmark year for Liberty Church.  It is a year when we move into our new home.  It is a year when we celebrate 40yrs of Liberty Church, looking back with gratitude at where we have come from, but more importantly, looking forward to where we are going.  I believe this will be a year when the Liberty Church family grows in confidence and expectation and where we increasingly see the power and presence of our God at work.  It will be a year where we discover the power of prayer, and grow in faith, where we learn to approach the throne of God with boldness, and dare to ask for greater things.  It will be a year where we see greater blessing and where we become a greater blessing to those around us.

Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement over the past year – I feel very blessed to be a part of such a great family, and I look forward to a new year, walking with our God and seeing his plans unfold.

Much love and blessings

Jon
