Jim and Diane Clair
The Clairs are veteran missionaries who have served in Africa since 1976. Having established Manna Bible Institute in Kenya, they moved to Jinja, Uganda where they are still based.
Their main ministry is the Alpha-Omega Seminary, which gives on-the-job Bible training to African pastors, many of whom have big churches and no training. Their work is thoroughly appreciated by these pastors and churches, and Alpha-Omega has become the largest accredited seminary in East Africa.
In addition to this, the Clairs have established a Christian primary school called “Riverside Academy”. This has proved to be an international school, with only half the pupils coming from Uganda. Most have come from unchurched families or nominal Christian families. Some of them are Muslim! In fact, Jim and Diane are involved in education from primary to degree level, and in ministerial training, evangelism, church planting, and church growth.
The Clairs’ overall aim is always training and helping Africans to train and help Africans.
